Agent 47 is the world’s top assassin.

He is exceptionally intelligent with superior instincts and reflexes. A pattern recognition expert, master of disguises and social chameleon, he is a ghost. Rarely noticed and never remembered.

As a result of his tragic past, 47 lacks empathy and is acutely aware of this. He has “outsourced” his conscience to his long-time handler, Diana Burnwood.

Together, 47 and Diana have developed a signature MO where targets die in tragic accidents or vanish without a trace, and the contracts are carried out with artistry, surgical precision and zero collateral damage. For this reason, 47 boasts a perfect ICA record and remains, at the very most, an urban legend.

Diana Burnwood is the handler to Agent 47 and his closest human connection.

A sublime analyst with a razor-sharp mind, an inquisitive nature and a bone-dry wit, Diana has a strong sense of justice born from tragedy. When Diana was twelve, her younger brother James died from chemical poisoning. The company responsible for the fatal leak, got away scot-free but Diana’s parents never stopped digging. When they came across a whistleblower willing to testify, the company ordered the Burnwoods killed in a car bomb. Diana witnessed the whole thing.

Disillusioned with the justice system, she eventually gravitated towards the ICA and enlisted in the handler program, where she met an amnesiac young 47. Diana strives to honour and uphold her father’s guiding principle that “no one is untouchable” and she targets only those who are powerful, guilty, and deserving.

Lucas Grey is a seasoned mercenary on a mission to take down an organisation known as Providence, an elusive power cabal with unprecedented global reach.

Grey is committed and uncompromising, empathetic, and tormented by past traumas. After decades of trying to outrun his past, Grey decided to fulfil a childhood pact and bring down Providence by any means necessary. His connection with Agent 47 is unknown at the start of the game but unravels over time.

Olivia Hall is a brilliant young hacktivist and Lucas Grey’s protégé.

A radical left activist who despises big corporations and runaway capitalism, Olivia was responsible for several ingenious cyber-attacks against global corporations and data leaks before joining Grey’s militia.

Olivia is highly intelligent and can appear guarded and anti-social. But she is compassionate and dedicated to the select few whom she allows close. She is Grey’s anchor to the real world, a real human being among zealots and soldiers. She believes in the cause, but she is uncomfortable with violence and deep down knows that she is in over her head.

Small and inconspicuous, The Constant is the top controller and chief strategist of Providence. His mild, soft-spoken demeanour hides a terrifying intellect. Devious, calculating and a master manipulator, he has meticulously erased his own past in order to become invisible and untraceable.

He ranks among the most powerful individuals in the world. Yet his smug and patronizing demeanour hides a deep-seated inferiority complex. A middle class meritocrat who values diligence and dedication, his greatest fear is that his elitist bosses will never acknowledge him as an equal.
