Path Tracing now available for 007 First Light

IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind the HITMAN franchise, and Amazon MGM Studios are pleased to announce that 007 First Light's path tracing and DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction update is out now, adding to its slate of advanced tech in partnership with NVIDIA, which already includes DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. In the critically-acclaimed, multi-million selling 007 First Light, players follow James Bond as a resourceful and sometimes reckless recruit in MI6's training program and discover a reimagined origin story of the world's most famous spy.
 
Since launch, 007 First Light has included NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and DLSS Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, accelerating frame rates and enhancing image quality for GeForce RTX gamers. As of today, path tracing and DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction have been added to 007 First Light, introducing extra-immersive, extra-detailed lighting, shadows and reflections, making its levels and set pieces even more cinematic. With this update, the game's visuals are now fully path-traced, maximizing frame rates and image quality on GeForce RTX PCs and laptops.
 
The update builds on IO Interactive's ongoing collaboration with NVIDIA GeForce, first unveiled in January 2026 alongside 007 First Light's official PC specifications. For the game, IO Interactive significantly advanced its proprietary Glacier engine, evolving it to support the game's cinematic tone, dynamic action, and breathtaking set pieces, with enhancements spanning more expressive character performances and environments that feel alive and breathing.

007 First Light is available now on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, on Amazon.com, as well as for PC on Steam and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow later this Summer 2026. 007 First Light is available in Standard, Deluxe, Collector’s, and Legacy Editions.
