The successful launch of The Disruptor

A knockout launch

Two weeks have already passed since the launch of our latest Elusive Target, The Disruptor, featuring global superstar Conor McGregor. The arrival of The Disruptor in the World of Assassination started with a bang, with our announcement trailer quickly amassing more than 10 million views on all our platforms, a huge number of streams and videos of the mission, and copious media coverage.

Since its launch, The Disruptor has brought in 150,000 daily active users to HITMAN World of Assassination, making it the most successful update since the release of HITMAN Freelancer in January 2023. To fully flesh out The Disruptor, our team managed to channel the best of Conor McGregor’s performance, both in body and mind, with praises pouring in regarding the character art and The Disruptor's quippy and (sometimes foul) tone.

As a reminder, Elusive Targets, which are playable for free for all HITMAN World of Assassination players, are temporary, high-stakes missions, setting players up against special targets, with only one shot to eliminate them. The Disruptor will be playable until the 29th of July so if you want to take your shot against this formidable foe, don’t waste any time! However, for players keen on taking down The Disruptor as often as they please, permanent access can be unlocked through The Disruptor DLC pack which features The Ostentatious, a Two-Level Arcade contract featuring The Disruptor. Finally, for any newcomers, you can access The Ostentatious as part of the Free Starter Pack, with the mission available to play for free until the 29th of July as well.

A look into player statistics

The Disruptor has proven to be a fan favourite target, and 47% of players who took on the mission managed to complete it, well done to all of them! Many players could not resist the mano-a-mano showdown between the Disruptor and Agent 47, with 27% choosing the in-cage duel to complete their task. The quickest runtime saw The Disruptor barely being able to warm up as he was taken out in 15s. On the other hand, other players really challenged his stamina, taking a whole 16 hours to take care of the fighter.

More statistics can be found in the infographic below, including the most unusual ways The Disruptor was taken out:

Finally, the Disruptor has also suffered from the efficiency of our own Agents, as an internal competition was set up to find the most creative assassins within our teams. Suffice it to say that we have budding hitmen within our ranks, as they left The Disruptor no chance to win his duel against Tim Quinn. You can watch our contenders below, including the winning playthrough from Egor, who set up his mission with immense precision, completing the mission in exactly 47s, impressive!
