HITMAN World of Assassination will be updated to version 3.280 on all platforms; PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, iOS/MacOS, Nintendo Switch™, Nintendo Switch 2™.
Maintenance: Starts on Thursday, August 27th at 11:00 AM UTC / 13:00 PM CEST and is expected to run until at least 2:00 PM UTC / 4:00 PM CEST.
Patch Release Time: 12:00 PM UTC / 2:00 PM CEST (This is when the download will roll out, but servers will not be available until the Maintenance period has concluded).
Patch size: Between 2.7 and 13 GB on all platforms.
Cloud: Switch players will get access to the latest version when launching the game after maintenance has concluded.

IMPROVEMENTS
External Controller Support for Steam Deck and Big Picture Mode
We’ve enabled external controller support for the launcher and PC Options menu when playing through Steam Deck or Steam Big Picture Mode. Trackpads and analogue sticks now work correctly across all Gamepad Layout settings.
Ability to launch the game in Steam VR Mode directly
We’ve added the launch option to launch HITMAN WOA directly in Steam VR Mode. To enable it open up the properties menu in your Steam library, head over to “General” and select the “Launch HITMAN World of Assassination in Steam VR Mode” as your launch option.
Solid Advice
Added a loading tip to highlight the VR quick-grab and fast-equip mechanic.
Status Update
Added tracking for Apple server status. You can now see it on the community status website, https://hitmanstat.us.
Light Work
Updated the lighting in the ICA Facility two training missions to improve the overall experience and visual fidelity.
Lost for Words
Diana will now react and deliver the appropriate voice line if a target is taken out mid sentence.
BUG FIXES
Besides adding, crafting, and creating some new content we are also happy to ship Game Update 2.80 with a patch filled with fixes, stemming from the hardworking fingertips of our dedicated developers here at IOI.

Crashing the Party
We have fixed a crash that could impact PC users with AMD graphics cards. Ensure your drivers are fully updated to the latest version.

Fixed an issue where every sign in the Sapienza Ice Cream stand is the same flavor.
Fine Print
Adjusted the text on the Air Pistol in the World Champion’s Pack.
CHARACTER ART
Behind the Seams
Fixed an issue where the Lynch Suit has a visible seam and mismatched skin tones.
Horrible Headache
Fixed an issue where 47’s head could look slightly different when he wore a disguise or outfit from a Season 1 location.
Troublesome Tailor
We have fixed various clipping and other minor visual issues with outfits from across the trilogy (including disguises worn by 47).

Where goes the key?
Fixed an issue on New York where the interaction UI on mechanical doors in the vault area where not aligned with the lock.
Shocking Leakage
Fixed an issue where water from the overflown aquarium in the villa would extend outside the room through the glass door, causing it to kill NPCs walking there when electrified.
Telepathic Tablecloth Pull
Fixed and issue on Paris where the tablecloth on the table with two working staff members would clip through the solid surface if looked at from a certain angle of distance.
Solid as Air
Fixed an issue where the deflated crocodile pool inflatables on Haven Island would respawn without collision after a save/load.
Silent Disco
Fixed an issue where portable radios don’t play any music despite NPCs reacting to it.
Bathroom Sync
Fixed an issue where the sound and animations of an NPC looking for the bathroom are not synced.
GAMEPLAY
Backpacking a Punch
Fixed an issue, where whenever 47 would use a punching bag with items on his back, it would lead to heavy clipping of the items.
Blender Blending In
Fixed an issue in the “The Banker” ET, where the martini mixing animation would end abruptly, causing 47 to suddenly change his pose to the default bartender position.
Caught Red-Handed
NPCs now react to theft. Getting caught picking up an item that isn’t yours triggers a reaction.
Wrong Fit
Fixed an issue where you would be able to blend in using an incorrect disguise.
No More Blind Spots
Fixed an issue where some cameras could not be scanned with the L-IV Access Dongle.
Loose Change
Fixed an issue where using “The Disruptor Cane” to knock out an NPC would play a coin sound.
Staying Silent
Fixed an issue where you would lose Silent Assassin after triggering Target Lockdown and injuring a guard from a distance.
Lost in Translation
Fixed several Chinese text translation issues.
Keep it Short
Fixed an issue in “The Harbinger” where some languages would display too much subtitle text at once.
Back on Screen
Fixed an issue where the Free Demo UI would not be correctly displayed on iOS platforms while in offline mode.
Start Squawkin’
Fixed an issue with the “Beak Staff” where no sound was made when used to hit an NPC.
Illuminating Presence
Fixed an issue where lighting inside a specific motorboat model on e.g. Haven Island or Isle of Sgail would change when 47 gets close.
Wooden It Be Nice?
Fixed an issue on Chongqing, where 47 would be able to clip through a wooden crate while in cover to pass a guard.
PC VR & PS VR2 FIXES
Pocket Change
Fixed an issue where several coins and scramblers could not be placed into hip holsters.
One at a Time
Fixed an issue where holstering a stackable item would count as holstering all of them.
In Your Hands
Fixed an issue where stackable items brought into the mission could not be equipped while holding the item in the other hand.
Short Circuit
Fixed an issue where sabotaging an electrical socket with a screwdriver was difficult to interact with.
Get a Grip
Fixed an issue where hand movement could feel incorrect when wielding a gun with two hands.
Engine Trouble
Fixed an issue where the boat engine could not be used as a distraction.
Get Moving
Fixed an issue where the controller layout would show the wrong button for running.
